Teresa Williams Spencer

Teresa Williams Spencer, ""Tessa ""as known to her close friends and family, died October 30, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center of Boulder and Broomfield Counties.Tessa was born August 11, 1951 on the beautiful Island of Bermuda, the beloved daughter of Wiley Carlton and Dorothy Williams who currently reside in San Antonio, Texas. Sadly they have survived the tragic loss of both of their children.Tessa was a true child of the universe with a gypsy spirit that came naturally. As a child of an Air Force pilot, the love of travel came inherently. Tessa attended high school in Georgia and graduated in 1969 from Lumpkin High. Although Georgia was her home, she spent most of her youth stationed in various places across the nation. In 1970 she married Kenneth Lloyd Spencer and had two daughters, Vanessa Marie Spencer and Celeste Williams Spencer. After attending college in Daytona Beach FL (where Vanessa was born in 1971) Tessa and family moved to Colorado to finish her degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated Cum Laud with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications. Celeste was born on a snowy winters day in Colorado Springs, CO December of 1975.The family then moved to Agoura Hills, CA where Tessa taught third grade and inspired the imagination of many a young mind. Her students named her Mrs. Potpourri because she would dance around the classroom spraying perfumed scents. Her personality radiated through her students encouraging them to be individuals. Tessa loved the ocean and weekend trips to Santa Barbara and the beaches of Zuma and Malibu. Tessa also had a great affinity for the enchanted city of Santa Fe, NM as it was one of her spiritual homes and inhabited her heart Tessa moved to Longmont, CO in 2001 and worked for Dillards for eight years always providing a beautiful smile and a twinkling eye to all. She affected everyone she met and we are all the better for it!! Her brother, Wiley Carlton Williams, preceded Tessa in death.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, Longmont, CO, Chaplain Melissa Vuto of Hospice of Boulder and Broomfield Counties officiating.Contributions may be made to the Hospice Care of Boulder and Broomfield Counties 2594 Trail Ridge Drive East, Suite A, Lafayette, CO 80026.Love You Puppy, One Heart!!
