Theresa M Lucero

Theresa M. Lucero of Lafayette died May 6, 2018 at her home. She was 80. Theresa was born on Nov. 24, 1937 to John Katich and Mary Erse Katich in Erie, Colorado. Theresa graduated from Erie High School in 1956. On Nov. 27, 1958 she married Joe Lucio Lucero in Lafayette.

Theresa worked for Wright McGill tying fishing flies and in production of fishing gear. She was an active room mother in Erie schools and always supported her kids and grandkids in various sporting events. She loved arts and crafts including macramé and building gingerbread houses. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her kids and grandkids and hosting various holiday dinners. She was also known to make frequent trips to Blackhawk with her husband and mom.

Surviving are her four sons, Leonard (Tracy) of Brighton, Anthony of Longmont, John (Denise) of Berthoud and Randy (Sarah) of Berthoud. A brother Johney of Arizona, a sister Mary of California, 7 grandchildren, TJ, Alyssa, Marcus, Tony Jr., Dylan, Ciara and Lauren and 2 great grandchildren Colden and Miles.

Visitation is from 4-6p.m. Thursday May 10 with a Rosary following at 6 p.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday May 14 at Immaculate Conception Church 715 Cabrini Dr. in Lafayette with a reception following.
