Timothy “Tim” Edward Caldwell, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 59, on April 12, 2025. Born on September 25, 1965, in Byers, Colorado, he was the son of the late Sherman Loyd Caldwell and the late Betty Jean (Stewart) Caldwell.
Tim attended Byers High School and went on to build a meaningful and accomplished career as a welder. For over 30 years, he traveled across the country lending his skills to a wide range of projects. His work ethic and keen attention to detail earned him great respect among his peers. His passion for his trade eventually led him to start his own company, a reflection of both his talent and entrepreneurial spirit.
Tim moved to Longmont in the early 1990s. There, he later met and built a life with his beloved wife, Kristin A. (Conlan) Caldwell. Following retirement, Tim found new joy in cooking—preparing meals for family and friends and cherishing the way food could bring people together around the table.
Tim is survived by his wife, Kristin, of Longmont; his brother Loyd Caldwell and his wife Sherry of Parker; and his sister Susan Dunn and her husband Kenneth of Johnstown. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Eads.
He leaves behind six cherished nieces: Kimberly Parker-Dunn, Stacie Rademacher, Angela Ebert, Heather Caldwell, Hannah Burton, and Libby Burton—as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember him fondly.
In honor of Tim’s love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the Longmont Humane Society.
