Timothy Lloyd Strom

Timothy Lloyd Strom, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 67. Born in Breckenridge, Minnesota, in February 1957 to Lloyd and Donna (Donley) Strom, Tim grew up in Wahpeton, North Dakota, where he graduated from Wahpeton Senior High in 1975 and enjoyed playing baseball.

In April 1976, Tim married the love of his life, Kathy J. (Bakken), whom he met through school and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in North Dakota. They had their son, Jeremiah Strom, in May of 1977. The family moved to Longmont in 1979, where Tim built a successful career in flooring installation, a trade he dedicated himself to for 47 years.

Tim was a man of faith, a proud member of the Lutheran church, and an active participant in community activities, including a few softball teams in Colorado. He cherished spending time outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, and bow hunting. Tim found joy in simpler pleasures, like watching "Jeopardy!" with his beloved grandson, Kavan, and cheering on Kavan’s baseball games.

Tim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy J. Strom; his son, Jeremiah Strom; his grandson, Kavan Strom; and his sisters Pam, Cindy, Wendy, and Heidi. He is also remembered fondly by his four brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Donna Strom.

A memorial service for Tim will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel at 11:00AM on January 17, 2025. Tim's legacy of love, kindness, and his passion for family and the great outdoors will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
