Vernice Wyona Gibson, 92, formerly of the Longmont area, died June 24, 2015 in Port Falls, Idaho. She was born July 8, 1922 in Bazine, KS to William Wallace and Emma Pearl (Ebert) Hamlin. On September 20, 1940 she married Glen E. Gibson in Boulder, CO. In 1966 they moved to the Longmont area from Boulder. Vernice was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Longmont.
She is survived by her children Elbert Gibson of Aurora, CO, Les E. Gibson of Idaho and Della Perl (Jack) Sapp of Idaho. She is further survived by her 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also left to remember her are her nieces Audrey, Alpha and Willa.
Vernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen Elbry Gibson (7-18-18 ~ 12-28-05), her Granddaughter Rosalie Mae Gibson, born and died 2-18-65, great granddaughter Madalyn Isabell Sapp (12-21-04 ~ 12-28-05), great granddaughter Dawn Faith Holmes (7-16-10 ~ 12-4-2014) and her sister Clara Lappin.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. Inurnment will be in Longmont Mountain View Cemetery on Friday, July 17 at 1:00 pm.
