Vernon L. Bauer

Vernon L. Bauer, 79, of Erie, CO passed away September 21, 2015 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. He was born in Lakewood, CO to Henry and Thelma Bauer. Vernon served in the United States Army. He married Patricia Capelli on February 14th 1957, they moved to Niwot in 1967. She preceded him in death on December 4th 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his son Scott, and his sister Viola.Vern married Susan Lane on June 28th 1997. He owned and operated Circuit Images, which he started in a garage and later moved to Boulder, until he sold the company in 2001.He enjoyed so many things including, travel, fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with friends and family. He had a love and respect for nature, and the people around him. He was a father, stepfather, grandfather, husband, mentor and friend to many. He had a kind heart and a fun loving spirit. Vernon is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Sheri, son-in-law Michael Sutton, daughter-in-law Cara Bauer, stepson James Lane, stepdaughters Julie Page, Kathleen Lane and Mary Middlekauff, grandchildren Brandy Cone, Christopher Sutton, Megan Tennoff and Ryan Bauer, step-grandchildren Jessica Anderson, James Lane, Kate Hebert-Tow, Susan Lane, Collin Vonderhaar, Luke and Wendy Middlekauff, great-granddaughter Kyra Cone and step-great-grandchildren Nevaeh Vonderhaar and Hailey Anderson.A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2:00 “ 5:00pm, with services at 3:00pm, Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the family home at 389 Hwy 52, Erie, CO 80516.
