Examples of the kindness and selflessness Vince showed in his everyday life. I never heard the words “I want/need” or “Give me” come out of Vince’s mouth. It was always “do YOU need/want anything?” “How are you feeling?” It just came natural to him to put others first. I never heard him say anything ugly or unkind. I haven’t known Vince his whole life or very long at all to be honest, but it didn’t take long for him to prove himself. He had come so far in his short but meaningful life. He seriously just amazed me every single day.
One time he heard me say something about how I thought I looked like a pear(I wasn’t being very kind towards myself) so he went and bought me a pear and all of my favorite snacks for my plane ride home.
Running is my passion, So moving here not knowing anyone or knowing where to run, being a girl not wanting to run alone in a foreign area was hard on me so he started bringing running clothes everyday in case I wanted to run, he hated running, I thought he was going to fall over every time. I usually planned to run 10 miles and we usually only made it 1 but it was okay because he tried, he was persistent, he gave it his all and he smiled no matter how bad he was hurting. Then he took it upon himself to find a website and create routes for me.
One time he surprised me, told me how to dress and we showed up to the incline(I didn’t know what it was) but he knew id enjoy it. He on the other hand, was not as thrilled to be there but he kept pushing and he finished and then proceeded to run 4 miles down with me smiling. He complained for like a week afterwards and I teased him so bad about it. He just wanted to help me feel at home in a place where I have no one even though he barely knew me. He was genuine, he was sincere, he was rare. He’s the person who makes the world a better place, he’s the person who influences others in the best way possible, he’s a role model. Although his time here was short, what he left behind is eternal.

Vince once told me to always choose your words carefully, what is said cannot be unsaid so mean what you say.
Vince was a truly special person.
He gave %110 percent at everything he did.
He was selfless, passionate, brave, fearless, loving, witty, talented and he had the most beautiful heart.
This world needs more people like him, it would be a much better place if so. He was truly too good for this world though.
He didn’t just touch the hearts and lives of everyone who crossed paths with him he changed them for the better. I know he did mine. When I moved here lost and confused, he helped me have faith in humanity again. He was the definition of a true friend and genuine person. I have never had someone show me the kindness he did. He brought a smile to everyone around him and boy did he have some jokes. He took a piece of all our hearts with him and he is already so missed by many.
He accomplished what he was put on this earth to do, which was to bring back some light, laughter and love in a world that can seem so dark, dull and cruel. I wish I could’ve seen the angels faces when they called him home. Even though we all wish he was still here, I have no doubt he is flying high, happy and at peace.
