Virginia K. Barnes

Virginia K. Barnes passed away December 31, 2017 at Boulder Manor. She was 78 years old. Virginia was born on July 10, 1939 in Texas to Howard and Bonnie (Taylor) Kennedy.She graduated from Beeville High School in Texas. In 1958 she married Donald Eugene Barnes in Beeville. She raised her children in Ohio and in 1991 moved to Florida, before residing in Longmont for the past 10 years.Virginia worked in a women's clothing boutique, as a Realtor, at Nordstrom's and later at Chico's, all in OhioShe attended the United Church of Christ in Longmont. Virginia was an avid tennis player; enjoyed gardening and was a member of several clubs; and she loved interior design.Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Donald.She is survived by her son Bryan (Liz Reeve) Barnes; her daughter Cynthia (Tersh Jones) Barnes; her sisters Barbara Tulles-Caffall and Linda Brown; and her grandchildren William, Emily, Sadye and Hank.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday April 28, 2018 at the United Church of Christ.
