

Bill was born August 13, 1976, in Boulder, Colorado to Walter and Margaret Ann Hopp. He was predeceased in death by his mother, who died July 12, 1985 when Bill was 9 years old. He grew up in Longmont, attended schools there, and was a graduate of Skyline High School in 1994. He then attended Colorado State University. He later worked with his father as a legal assistant while he studied to obtain his insurance brokerage licenses. He then worked in the area of insurance, until recent years. More recently he worked in retail sales in Longmont, and most recently worked at Fox Creek Liquors in Longmont, where he enjoyed the gracious owners of that business.He is survived by his father Walter J. Hopp, his step-mother, Charlene Hopp, by his siblings, sister Elizabeth Easterly (Dave) and their sons Jack and Patrick, brother Walter Hopp (Theresa) and their children Amelia and David, step-brother Matthew Sandau, sister Martha Wichman (Jacob) and their daughters Frieda and Heidi, sister Emily Ashton (Clint), and step-brother Brent Cashion, as well as by numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.Bill was very close to his family and loved them with an intensity matched by few. He was adored by his parents, his siblings, and his young nieces and nephews, with all of whom he maintained close ties. Bill held his friends and family relations in the highest regard. He was incredibly loyal, spontaneous, and eager to help anyone who needed someone to talk to or someone to help, whatever the task may be. He had many interests for which he will be remembered, including his avid appreciation for the CU Buffal s and Denver Bronco's football. He was a skilled poker player and enjoyed playing with friends, or competitively. He was well read and quick witted, and effortless in his ability to make conversation. Bill lived in the moment and had the ability to put others at ease. He was charismatic, and could fill a room with his presence. His wit, humor, and constant good will are going to be sorely missed.Visitation from 5-7pm, Monday, December 2 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
