Yung Sil Kang, 82, of Berthoud, CO, passed away on September 13, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. A celebration of her life is being planned for October.
Yung was born on March 13, 1943, in Seoul, South Korea. She came to the United States in 1963 after marrying a U.S. Army serviceman. As a military wife, she embraced a life of travel, creating a loving home across the country and the world. From Colorado to Kansas, Oklahoma to Georgia, and in countries like Italy and Germany, Yung's warmth and spirit made a home wherever she went.
For 32 years, Yung lived in Enterprise, Alabama, where she was the proud owner of a beloved gift shop. She had a special passion for flowers, especially roses, and found joy in the simple beauty of butterflies and ladybugs. Her greatest companions were the many dogs and cats that came into her life, and she adored her grand-puppies and grand-kitties.
Yung was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters in South Korea and Japan. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Fry-Bolton (Karl), of Berthoud, CO; her son, Kent Fry; and her granddaughter, Lori Fry, of Enterprise, AL.
Yung will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to an animal rescue organization close to her heart, such as Harley's Dream, Woof and Willow, or a local pet rescue of your choice.
