Barbara Jean Dunn

Barbara J. Dunn, 90, of Grayson County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 11, 1934, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to the late Gilbert and Lillie Wilson.

Barbara's life was marked by a deep faith in Jesus Christ, and she was passionate about sharing God's love and word with everyone she met. Her warm, caring nature was reflected in her love for giving hugs, a gesture that brought comfort to all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Faith Assembly of God in Lebanon Junction. Barbara had a great love for quilting, a craft she enjoyed throughout her life. To her family and friends, she was known as "Nanny."

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Dunn; her son, Cavin Leon Dunn; her daughter, Tracy Armstrong; and a host of siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Sheila) Hall (Mike) and Dana Dunn (Ed); her grandchildren, Jamie Walker (Brad), Joshua Hall, James Miller (DaLeisa), James will be officiating the funeral service, Daniel Miller (Chelsi), Bryan Armstrong (Tiffany), and Kaycee Armstrong; 12 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Phillip Wilson.

Barbara’s family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, February 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272 with a funeral to follow at 2:00 PM. A burial will occur after services at South Jefferson Cemetery.
