

Born on Sunday, November 1, 1936 in the Crossroads community of Hardin County, Kentucky, Bobby was the son of the lates' Burton Stone and Juanita Smithers. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and supervisor in the construction industry. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. He not only resided in Louisville but Austin, Kentucky as well where he moved back to Louisville in 2019. Bobby was a member of the 181 Operators and Engineers Union, and was of the Methodist Faith.
Besides his parents, Burton and Juanita Stone; his first wife, Bertye Stone; his second wife, Margaret (Morris) Stone; and grandson, Dewayne Slack, precede Bobby in his passing.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gary Wayne (Debra) Stone, Pam Stone, Gail (Terry) Morris Hibbs, Karen (David) Morris Blain and Paul Morris; his grandchildren, Gary Stone, Terry Stone, Angel (Chris) Baker, Kayla (Jeremy) Roark, Jordan Stone, Madison Moe, David (Katie) Blain, Brittany Blain, Brent (Stephanie) Brown, Danielle (Brittany) Kleiner, Zackary (Jennifer) Morris and Samuel Morris; his great - grandchildren, Mike Avery, Sophia Stone, Donovan Stone, Dawson Stone, Braxton Stone, Abrielle Powers, Logan Tarrence, Issey Tarrence, Brooklyn Baker, Brice Baker, Brady Baker, Benjamin Stone, Gabriel Blain, Jacob Blain, Alexis Blain, Julien Goffner, Cameron Goffner, Alexander Kleiner, Archer Kleiner, Hadley Morris, Noah Morris, Nicholas Morris, Jerica Partin and Jacqueline Morris; 3 - great - great - grandchildren; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and then again on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Hour of 1:00 p.m. also at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel.
