Cecilia Agnes Theresa Longest

Cecilia Agnes Theresa Longest passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her life was a beautiful testament to devotion, joy, and quiet strength.

Cecilia found endless joy in gardening—spending countless hours tending to her garden. Nothing brought her more happiness than time spent with her loved ones. Whether it was playing card games and puzzles, cheering at Red Bird games with her children, or watching ghost-hunting shows with her great-grandson, Cecilia's presence turned ordinary moments into cherished memories. She delighted in every chance to spoil her great-grandson, Amari, and her love for angels reflected the gentle, watchful spirit she shared with all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Theresa Siewirt, her beloved husband of over 30 years, Leo Longest, her son James "Jimmy" Longest, and her older brother Virgil Siewirt.

Cecilia leaves behind a family who will carry her love and legacy forward: her daughter, Tina Marie Bratton; her grandchildren, Emily Marie Richerson, Kahlan Bratton, Casey Bratton, Steven Longest, Samuel Longest, Scarlet Longest, J.D. Long, Hannah Long, and Clara Long; and her treasured great-grandchild, Amari Richerson. She is also survived by her siblings Tony, Cathy, Johny, Anna, Mary, Vernon, and Theresa Siewirt.

Cecilia’s warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be remembered always. Her spirit blooms on in the garden of every life she touched.

A visitation for Cecilia will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10907 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272, followed by a funeral from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
