Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was an avid Kentucky Wildcat supporter and Nascar fan. She worked at the University of Louisville Hospital and was beloved by her close work family. She also enjoyed telling of the time she spent as the Butler Bear mascot in High School.
Donna is survived by her daughter Amie Wesley; her brother Paul Denney (Billie); her granddaughters Brenna Williams (Nick), Taylor Wesley (Corey), her grandson Eli Wesley, her great grandson Brooks Blanton, her great granddaughter's Sophia Williams and Joanna Williams, her niece's Cindy Wathen (John), Kim Clark (Steve), Madison Clark and McKenzie Peters.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Steve Thomas; her parents Paul and Edith Denney; her brother's Larry and Terry Denney.
A visitation for Donna will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heady Hardy Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with burial following at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
The family has requested that those attending visitation please wear your UK or Nascar attire in honor of Donna's favorite things.
