He was a member of VFW 1181, and a retired plumber with Local Union 502. He was a member of South Jefferson Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Hunter J. Hoffman, Jr.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Lillie Jane Hoffman; sons, Robert Wayne Hoffman (Sandra), Bobby Ray Hoffman (Vanessa); brother, Roger A. Hoffman and eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be on Monday at noon at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home, with burial following in South Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
