James Michael Alvey Sr. age 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. James was a devoted father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family. He found peace sitting on his front porch, watching squirrels, and was a lifelong supporter of the Louisville Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katherine Alvey, and his brother, Bobby Ray Alvey. James is survived by his children, James Alvey Jr. and Laurie Broos (Daniel); his grandchildren, Alex, Alyssa, Reanna, Aubrey, and Lacey; his brothers, Dayrl Alvey (Patti) and Ricky Alvey; and his former wife, Wilma.
