

John Robert (Bob) Martincic, 82, of Louisville entered into rest on February 9, 2023 after a courageous battle with Diabetes and Cancer. Bob was born on April 7, 1940, to John Martin Martincic and Mary Louise Poland of Pittsburg Pennsylvania.
He graduated from South Fayette high school in 1958 where Bob played Soccer and was a trumpet player for the school band. After High School He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for two years at Fort Knox as a tank driver.
On one special evening, while Bob was guarding General Patton’s vehicle at the Museum he met his beautiful bride to be, Mary Jo Smith. They later married on April 20, 1963 and had over 60 wonderful years together. In those years, they started a family of 5 loving children, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
After Bob served his time in the Army, he got a job at Venhoff Plumbing where he achieved the title of Master Plumber. Bob later found himself back at Fort Knox where he work for the Civil Service for more than 30 years.
Bob enjoyed watching sports and coached football and baseball. True to his birthplace, Bob remained a Pittsburg Steelers fan.
He loved his children with a heart so full of love and kindness that the love extended to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob was met at the gates of Heaven by his middle son, John Michael Martincic who passed in 2020.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo S Martincic; son, David Martincic and wife Sandy Pierce Martincic; daughter, Sharon Troutman; daughter, Theresa Waxler and husband Tim Waxler; son, Andrew Martincic,; sisters, Carol Zeman and Rita Jean Novak.
Bob also leaves his grandchildren, Amanda Thurman, Bryan Martincic, Bobby Frazier, Sara Webb, Katherine Martincic, and Abigail Martincic; great-grandchildren, Finnley Martincic, Riley Rae Christensen, Callan Martincic, Jake Thurman, Candice Thurman, Carley Thurman, Gerald Frazier, Emma Frazier, Lelia Kerelaj and Luca Kerelaj.
A funeral Mass for Bob will be at the Saint Lawrence Catholic Church Tuesday February 14, 2023.
At 11:00am with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation for Bob will be Monday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Advantage Funeral Home.
