Joseph William Thomas

Joseph was an Army veteran of WWII and retired from Civil Service Ft. Knox KY, he was a Deacon at Ashby Lane Baptist Church, Member of Meade County Senior Citizen and founder of Thomas Tree Service Inc. Est 1974.

Joseph was met at the gates of heaven by the mother of his children Rita (Stull) Thomas, his 2nd wife Dorothy Pack Thomas, parents Lon and Myrtle Thomas, grandson Jason Allen Sanders, siblings; Bernice Garrett, Lucille Warren, Virginia Singelton, Chester Thomas, Minnine Bell Sipes, Dorthy Hagen, Junion Thomas, Pete Thomas, James Thomas and Shirley Spain.

Joseph leaves behind to cherish his memory his children; Vanessa Hoffman (Bob), Jerry Thomas, Vera Sanders (Bruce), Gwen Creamer (Rick), Bonita Thomas and Gail Hurt , grandchildren; Bobbie Joe Crasher, Byron Thomas, Danny Hoffman, Amanda Saranchak, Bethany Bembry, Heather Collins, Jessica Cross, Darin Sanders, Christopher Cross, Sarah Webb, Joseph Fergerson, Brianna Fergerson, Christopher Hurt and Kaelin Hurt, Lisa Wettle and Amy McKinney, 23 great-grandchildren, loving companion Carolyn Lowe.

Joseph’s celebration of life service will be held Thursday December 30, 2021 at 1 PM at Ashby Lane Baptist Church 6617 Ashby Lane Louisville Kentucky 40272. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 through 8 PM Wednesday at Advantage funeral Home Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy. and Thursday from 10 AM to the service time at church.
