Born in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday, July 28, 1936, Joyce was the 5th of 6 children born to the lates’ Henry Charles Maynor and Etta Marie Hyde. She was a member of Beechland Baptist Church and was a retired Clerk for the Free Public Library. She loved to sew, something which she was very talented at. Joyce loved her dogs, going shopping and going out to eat with her family. She also loved to travel, spending countless trips to the Smokey Mountains with her late husband, Junie taking trips to see the beautiful fall foliage. She also loved spending time at Lake Cumberland.
Besides her parents, Henry Charles and Etta Marie Maynor; her husband of 68 years, Frank William “Junie” Fisher, Jr.; and her siblings, Harry, Jane (Charles), Joseph, Jim and Douglas (Onna Kay), precede Joyce in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chris (Vicki) and David (Shari); grandchildren, Brianna (Jake), Faith, Rebecca and Grace; sisters – in – law, Mary Newlen, Leah Maynor and Alma Maynor; several nieces and nephews; plus, a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Heady – Hardy Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Joyce will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery following the service, where she will rest alongside her husband, Junie. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. also at Heady – Hardy Funeral Home.
