Lanie was met at the gates of heaven by her parents Harry and Ruby brother Bill, spouse Avery Barnett Sr., and Lanie's lifelong love Don Cottner.
Lanie has left to cherish her memory her children Shirley Johnson (J.B.), Roger Upchurch(Brenda), Ronnie Upchurch(Jackolyn), David Barnett, Fonda Fowler(Phill/David), Avery Barnett(Brenda), Troy Barnett(Dody), Glen Cottner and Trina Worley(Greg). sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Siblings Wanda Burnette and, Sheila Stephenson, Virginia Burke, and Jesse Parmley.
Lanie's celebration of life will be held at advantage funeral home Hardy chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy. Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the service time Tuesday
