Born Mary Rose Frankrone in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, October 30, 1933, Mary was the daughter of the lates’ Henry Frankrone and Mary Frances Sandfort. Mary attended Ursuline Academy, Class of 1951, and was a retired Nursing Assistant with Jewish Hospital, serving over 27 years. She was a member of Our lady of Mt. Carmel and the quilting club.
Besides her parents, Henry and Mary Frances Frankrone; her husband, Carl Boyd; grandson, Timothy Alan Boyd; great – grandchildren, Aubree Marie Vance and Sawyer Scott Vance; 2 – angel babies; brothers, John Frankrone, Father Leo Frankrone, Louis Frankrone and Raymond Frankrone; sisters, Sister Dorothy “Hilda” Frankrone, Marcella Olliges, Teresa Arntz; and son - in law, Bobby Haney, precede Mary in her passing.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Barbara (Dewayne) Dockery, Ruth (Kevin) Fox, Dennis (Rebecca) Boyd, Cathy (Larry) Whaley and Ann Marie (Gary) Vance; grandchildren, David (Christi), Christina (Curtis), Beth (Kevin), Jenny (Jason), Sheryl (Justin), Kathleen (Jordon), Carla (Ben), Michael, Joey, JJ, Laura (Todd), Christie (Bryan), Jeremy (Maddie) and Brian (Jodi); 26 great – grandchildren; 7 great – great – grandchildren; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with Father Troy Overton officiating. In accordance with her wishes, Mary will be cremated and her ashes inurned with those of her husband in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky at a later date. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Heady – Hardy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
