Robert L Carroll

Robert Layman Carroll "Rob" passed away at his home on Sunday, December 22, 2024. Rob was born on February 9th, 1974 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He attended Sutherland Elementary, Burns Middle and Apollo High School in Owensboro Kentucky before moving to Louisville and graduating from Valley High School. Shortly thereafter he joined the U.S. Marine Corp and proudly served his country for 4 years. He was a U.S. postal worker both in Owensboro and Louisville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth B. Reece Sr., Paternal grandparents, Layman and Pat Carroll, his uncles, Jimmy Carroll & Daniel Reece. He is survived and leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Diana Carroll, her son James Smith, (Katie & granddaughter, Jewell). His father, Bruce Carroll; Mother and Stepfather, Valerie Reece Ritter and Steve Ritter; his grandmother, Alma Reece of Louisville; his siblings: Chrissi Carroll York, Wesley Ritter, (Jessie) Madison Jones, (Ray) and Ronnie Ritter; His Uncle Kenny & Bev Reece, His Aunts, Lisa Reece & Robin Reece; and many nieces, nephews and cousins... Visitation will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at Advantage Funeral Home Hardy Chapel 10907 Dixie Hwy from 10-12:30 PM, his funeral will be at 12:30 Monday. Burial will be held at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1:30 PM 2501 N Dixie Hwy Radcliff KY.
