It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Silliman on Saturday October 12, 2024, after a long and fulfilling life. Rose, of Valley Station was 98 years young.
Born Rose Ella Hupp, on Sunday January 17, 1926. Rose married the love of her life, John Edward Silliman in 1944. Together they brought to this world 7 wonderful children, who in turn gave them 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in passing by her husband John Edward Silliman Sr, her oldest son John Edward Jr, and her precious granddaughter Ashley Nicole Silliman.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas A Silliman (Stephanie) of Palm Springs, Ca
Gerald A Silliman (Robbin) of Austin Tx
Jeffery L Silliman of Valley Station Ky.
And her daughters, Nancy C Girts of Greenville, In
Joyce A Waters (Don) of St Augustine, Fl
Donna M Journey of Ft Lauderdale, Fl.
Rose chose cremation arrangements have been entrusted to, Advantage funeral home Hardy Chapel located at 10907 Dixie Hwy 40272.
Interment at Evergreen Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to your local Animal shelter in her name, as she loved all animals.
