Wilburn "Butch" L. Benningfield

Butch loved bluegrass music and really enjoyed playing his guitar along with a few other instruments in his collection. He attended Valley High School and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union, and a Mason at the Miles Lodge. As a skilled mechanic, he spent much of his time working on old cars, motorcycles, and trucks. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years, but spent a huge part of his life loving and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Dustin Benningfield; and brothers, Billy Benningfield and Timmy Benningfield.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Larisa Russell (Rick), Scott Benningfield (Jen); grandchildren, Bryce, Ashley, Emily, Taylor, Parker, Clara, Revalie, Archer; brothers, Monte Benningfield, Brian Morrell; and a host of cousins and other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation for Butch will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 4pm - 8pm at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. The funeral service will be held at 6:30pm. Cremation is to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Hosparus Health of Louisville in Butch's honor.
