Alma Marie Vondenstein Broussard

Services for Alma Marie Broussard, 90, of Huntington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Ray Vann officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Broussard was born August 14, 1926 in Crowley, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Adonatille (Beouff) and Joseph Vondenstein. She passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Broussard was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include her grandsons, Nelson Broussard and Danny and wife, Pamela Redd; and granddaughter, Trishana Broussard, all of Huntington; great-granddaughters, Megan Broussard, Samantha Broussard, Cortny Redd, Jaxx Redd and Kendall Redd; great-great-grandchildren, Chloe Spainhour and Carter Spainhour and a number of other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nelson Broussard; and daughter, Barbara Broussard Done.

Pallbearers will be Danny Redd, Perman Vondenstein, Jose Amador, Cory Wood, Steve Broussard and David Spainhour.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
