Arturo R. Rios

Services for Arturo R. Rios, 48, of Lufkin will be held at 12 Noon Friday, January 3, 2014 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ruben Luna officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Rios was born August 11, 1965 in Redford Texas, and passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mr. Rios was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. He was employed as a truck driver for Hughes Trucking Company. He was a very respectful person and was friendly to all. He enjoyed watching his sons’ band play. He enjoyed his Harley and loved spending time with his grandkids and family. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Dioncil Rios of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Arturo Eddie and Lourdes Rios of Lufkin; son, Adrian Richard Rios of Lufkin; grandchildren, Paloma Rios, Alexie Rios and Eddie Rios, all of Lufkin; brothers, Tony Rios of Lubbock, Oscar Rios of Corpus Christi; sister, Maria McGuire of Wikett; brothers, Manuel Rios of Lubbock and Lupe Rios of Corpus Christi; mother, Zenaida Rios of Wikett; mother-in-law, Inocencia Aguilar of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Mr. Rios was preceded in death by his father, Florencio Rios and father-in-law, Ramon Aguilar.

Pallbearers will be Tony Rios, Oscar Rios, Manuel Rios, Lupe Rios, Robert Rios, Steve Rios, Edgardo Zavala, Bo Rodriguez, Eddie Rios and Adrian Rios.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
