My sincere condolences.  I remember Betty being such a sweet lady. Prayers for family.

I will always remember you picking me up from school because “ I was sick”. I knew mom was at work and you would come and get me. We would go home and watch The Price is Right and your soaps. I still watch General Hospital. I knew every Saturday that we would be going to your house because you and mom were going to find every garage sale you could. The last couple of years you would call me because you had my number saved under moms name. You said you tried to change it but your phone wouldn’t let you. We would talk for a few minutes and then you would say “I’m gonna call your mama. Love you.”  You said you would be with mom in heaven one day we just didn’t know it would be this soon. Please give her a hug and kiss from me.  You will have no more pain and worries. I know you two are  rejoicing and singing up there. I  will always love  and miss you.

We hold lots of fun memories growing up with friends right around the corner from our house to yours.

I first met her and kids at Henderson street church and after that know matter where you where she would remember you and talk to you. She has gained her wings.
Sorry for your loss

When I was a child MaMaw was my favorite person. She loved me and I knew it! I knew it because she showed it. She wasn't a boring old grandma. She was FUN and funny. She had a special scent. She was an early riser and a hard worker. She always had some spearmint gum to share. I was thankful to sit by her at church because I was guaranteed a pen and paper to draw. She drew the best flowers.
 She always gave, especially to her babies and to her church! I will never forget the days that I spent with her at the Herty house. I won't forget getting to sit in the front seat of a vehicle with her and her telling me to duck from time to time. I will never forget the day she picked me up from the police station (I was 6 or 7 years old).   I won't forget fishing with her in the Etoile lake. I won't forget playing "Kemp and Twa" or "Spoons" or "Rummy".  Rummy was her favorite. I won't forget riding in that blue van with my cousins while MaMaw raced PaPaw to the Etoile house.  I won't forget how serious she was about her garage sales. I won't forget her telling other people about how I didn't like Mildress (she thought it was so funny). 
 As I got older I did become distant. Though I became distant, she treated me with open arms and would be so happy for me to call or come visit.  Any time I smell a mix  of White Rain, dial soap, and the lake I will think of MaMaw. Anytime I eat burnt popcorn (I like it burnt bc of her), I will think of MaMaw. Anytime I come across the movie Balto, MaMaw will be in my mind. Her flesh is gone but her soul and spirit live forever. I rejoice because she suffers no more! I am thankful she had a part in my upbringing.

I loved my Aunt Betty very much.  I was the first child in our family so Aunt Betty and Uncle EH gave me lots of attention before having their own 4 Children, Danny, Donna, Eddie, and Bryan.  Any kids around were included in their brood. Aunt Betty taught me how to color, play the game Ball & Jax (she was very good at that game!) She loved to talk to everyone. Aunt Betty loved GOD and her Faith was STRONG.  I will miss her Dearly. 

You were always there any time I had a surgery or was sick . A lot of the times no one would be there but I could count on you to take care of me. You have been my mom for 35 years. I am great full for all you have done. For your prayers .You have been an awesome grandma and great grandma Love you and we will always have a big hole in our lives . I know you’ll be waiting for us in Heaven. Jesus has you now and until we meet again you will always be loved and missed

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fancher was preceded in death by her son, Danny Fancher;brothers, Benny and Robert Shepherd; sisters, Jeanette Dunn and Ruby Abrams.
