Betty Joyce Miley

Memorial services for Betty Joyce Miley, 81, of Lufkin, will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, where Betty's ashes will be interred next to her beloved husband, Vernon.

Mrs. Miley was born September 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Marie and Horace Fancher. She passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013.

Betty was a good and faithful friend to many over the years and always took time to listen. She loved taking care of her home and providing fun get-togethers on the holidays for her family. She will be truly missed by all.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Colleen Miley of Longview and Jason and Robbie Miley of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Merril Nunn of Amarillo; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Mary Ann Fancher of Edgewood; sister-in-law, Donna Fancher of Lutz, Florida; grandchildren, Caleb Miley of Beckville, Josh Miley of Austin, Lisa Miley of Nacogdoches, and Jarrell, Chris and Skyler Cooper of Houston; cousins, Lois Hutson, Verna Mae Bell, Billye York, and Lou Ray Berry; and a number of other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Vernon Miley; and brother, Hubert Fancher.

Special friends who provided loving support during her time of need include Glen Hunter, Marianne Bryson, Bob and Sue Waltman and Margarite Bridges.
