Bonnie Jean Fitting

Funeral services for Bonnie Jean Fitting, age 73, of Beaumont, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday.

Bonnie passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Bonnie was born April 22, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Braxton B. Gage, Jr. and Patricia Jean Jayroe.

She is survived by her fiancé of 27 years, James Heartfield; cousins, Billy Jayroe and wife Patty, Calvin Jayroe, Jr. and wife Mary Jane, Luanna Niece and husband Al, Deanne McGaha and Steve Jayroe; ; and uncles, Ray Jayroe and wife Jean and Calvin Jayroe Sr. and wife Anna; niece, Lydia Ann Salley as well as extended nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Rhoda Ann Salley.

Bonnie graduated in 1967 from Forest Park High School in Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of Forest Park Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and angels and also loved gardening and butterflies. Bonnie worked in Houston at KMart, Wilco and TJ Maxx.
