

Services for Bradley King, 86, of Lufkin, were held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reagan McClenny, Minister, officiating. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Bradley King, son of the late Donnie (Lee) and Arthur King, was born March 6, 1926 in Trinity County, TX and passed away October 13, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. King retired in May, 1986 from Lufkin Industries where he was a welder for 31 years. His work was a very important part of his life. He enjoyed the simple things of life. He loved his family dearly and really enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His daily ritual was to walk in the mall, and he enjoyed visiting with the people there. He also enjoyed feeding the birds in his yard.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Carol Davis and Larry; son and daughter-in-law, David Bradley King and Liz, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jana Brazil and Travis, Laurie Hancock and Keith, Karyn King, and Nickolas King; great-grandchildren, Haley and Taylor Brazil and Ian and Anna Hancock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. King is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Thelma King in Nov. 2011; and son, Jerry Lynn King in 1986; one sister; and five brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were his nephews, James Larry King, Lewis Davis, O'Neal Davis, Rayford Davis, Donny Davis and Johnny Davis.
