Charles Edward Carter

Charles was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in time spent outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, passions that reflected his love for nature and simple, meaningful moments. He also proudly served as President of the Board of Southland Federal Credit Union for many years.

He is survived by his children: Tim and Amy Carter of New Braunfels; John Carter of Lufkin; and Charlinda and Cary Wells of Huntington.

He also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren: Chris Carter and Devina Moore, Geoff Carter, Zach Carter, Bethany Carter, Cody Carter, Shelby and Bucky Willis, Samuel and Courtney Mosley, Trent and Morgan Wells, Trinity Wells, Jasmine and Paul Trevino, and Isaiah and Robyn Bernal, along with numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carter, and his parents, Charles Carter Jr. and Enoma Pittman Carter.

Pallbearers will be Chris Carter, Samuel Mosley, Trent Wells, Bucky Willis, Isaiah Bernal, and Cody Carter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bentley Moore and Blaine Mosley.

Charles will be remembered for his love of family, the outdoors, and the many memories he leaves behind.
