Clara Nell Hamb Card

Mrs. Card was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved cooking and having her family together. She was employed at Okay Food Store for 34 years. Mrs. Card was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Hall of Etoile; daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Melvin Brock of Hudson; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Linda Nelson of Etoile and Robert and Susan Nelson, formerly of Lufkin; grandchildren, Andrea Jones of Lufkin, Kevin and Kirk Nelson of Joaquin, Trevor and Trent Nelson of Etoile, Kris Nelson of Etoile, Bryan Nelson of Nacogdoches, Cindy Taylor of Tomball and Dolen Hill of Etoile; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Lillian Hamb oF Lufkin and Aaron and Maxine Hamb of Dallas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Carroll Patrick of Latexo, Loretta Page of Canton and Luna Rae and Wesley McCully of Canton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Mrs. Card was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Card.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Card's grandsons: Kevin, Kirk, Trent, Trevor, Kris and Bryan Nelson.

Services for Mrs. Card will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Brad Forrest and Bro. Walter Futch officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
