Services for Donald “Sonny” Durham, 64, of Huntington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Calvin Kersh officiating. Interment will follow in Macune Cemetery in San Augustine County.
Mr. Durham was born January 13, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Edith Aline (Goodman) and W. E. “Buddy” Durham. He passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in a local hospice facility.
Mr. Durham was a loving husband and father. He was employed by Polk’s Service Stations.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mary Durham; son, Nicholas Durham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Jessica Gavette, William and Dianna Gann, and Richard and Carla Cannon; special friends, Darrel Bryan and O. T. Haygood; as well as an aunt, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Durham was preceded in death by one brother.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Whittemore, Jr., Jonathon Dial, Aron Gann, Darrel Bryan, O. T. Haygood, and Joseph Lewis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Whittemore and Rhett Dial.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Monday, March 6, 2017 at Gipson Funeral Home.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
