Donna Sory Brown

Services for Donna Louise Brown, 34, of Huntington, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Eric Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Donna was born August 2, 1981 in Houston, Texas. She passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in a Houston hospital.

Donna was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved to spend time with her sons and grandbaby as well as cooking for everyone. She was presently attending the City Church of Lufkin.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Michael Brown of Huntington; children, Justin Sory and wife Beckie and Daniel Brown, all of Huntington; granddaughter, Addison Sory; father, Steven Sory of Lufkin; sisters, Kina Williamson and husband John of Hill AFB, Utah, Denise Wood and husband Joe of Lufkin, and Teresa Queal and husband Brenton of Houston; aunts and uncles, Laural Shuptrine, Leslie and George Calvert, Susan and John Martin, Daisy Shuptrine, all of Houston, and Sheryl and Jorge Tous of Florida; grandparents, Donna Shuptrine of Houston and Allen and Wanda Sory of Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Earline Shuptrine Sory on January 25, 2013; uncle, Johnny Shuptrine and aunt, Angela Shuptrine; and grandfather, Earl Shuptrine.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Justin Sory, Joe Wood, Daniel Brown, Tim Thomas, and Daniel Brown.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
