Eileen Rea Salyer

Services for Eileen R. Salyer, 77, of Cleveland, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Caroline Aycock officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Eileen was born February 19, 1941 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Maureen Ella (Anderson) and Raymond G. B. Wilson. She passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 in a local hospital.

Eileen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as an anesthetist/nurse. She was a member of Victory Gospel Church in Coldsprings.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Merrit Lee and John Viles and Karen Lynn and Ernest Morgan, all of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert Mark and Lida Salyer of Cortez, Colorado; grandchildren, Jennifer Greer and husband Neil, John Ryan Viles, Evan Michael Viles, Ashley Cormier and husband Eric; Aaron Mark Salyer, Justin Kyle Morgan and wife Jennifer, Chelsey Rea Morgan, Kaylee Marie Newton and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Kahlan Cormier, Wyatt Cormier, Jace Newton, Addison Newton; Austin Neil Greer, Raelee Nicole Greer, Klara Victoria Viles, Luis Rodarte, Elizabeth Morgan and Isabella Lynn Morgan; sister, Nancy Bittick; brother, Charles Lyon; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Salyer; and grandson, Alex Stanford.

Pallbearers will be Mark Newton, Justin Morgan, Neil Greer, Evan Viles, Aaron Salyer and Barry Tull. Honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Viles.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
