Mrs. Smith was born January 11, 1929 in Groveton, TX and passed away July 7, 2017 in a Diboll nursing facility. She was the daughter of the late Mary (English) and Robert Lee James.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Donald Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Henry and Diane Smith; and son, Bill Smith; grandchildren, Joe Henry Smith, Jr. and wife, Alisha, Michael Smith and wife, Melinda; great-grandchildren, Hannah Shepherd, Brianna Smith, Declan Smith and Brittyn Smith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings and a great-grandson, Gavin Smith.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
