Eunice E. Redd Pruitt

Mrs. Pruitt was born December 29, 1914 in Angelina County, the daughter of the late Laura A. (Gibson) and Matt A. Redd. She passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 in a local hospital.

Ms. Eunice moved to Odessa, Texas, where she met and married Aubrey Anderson. Together they owned a restaurant and she worked there as a waitress. After Mr. Anderson passed away, she returned to East Texas and worked at a photography studio. Her second marriage was to Fred Pruitt of Rocky Hill.

She loved her home and enjoyed working in her yard, sewing, and being creative. She loved her family, her church and her friends. She was a member of Homer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her brother, Garland Redd of Sandpoint, Idaho; sister, Ouida Westberry of Pineville, Louisiana; nephews, Mark Redd, Doug Westberry and Tim Westberry; niece, Diana Vanslyte; and a number of cousins, great-nephews and nieces, and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Eunice was preceded in death by her husbands, Aubrey Anderson and Fred Pruitt.

Deacons of Homer United Methodist Church will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
