Mrs. Smith was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed life to its fullest, had a good sense of humor and was so proud of her grandchildren. Mrs. Smith enjoyed being with her family and liked animals, especially dogs. She liked to read and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Dottie and Bobby Wood; daughters, Linda Darlene Smith and Denita Smith, all of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Emma Page of Huntington; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob S. Smith; sister, Margie Faye Corcoran; parents; and grandchild, Denita Darlene Neal.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Crain Cemetery with Dr. John Greene officiating. Interment will follow in the Crain Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
