Flora Ann "Flo" York

Mrs. York was born December 2, 1944 in Wells, the daughter of John Rufus Goodwin and Edna Lorraine Hodges. She passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Lufkin.

Mrs. York was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a loyal woman who would put others before herself. Flora was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. York enjoyed working on her flower garden, in her free time she enjoyed doing art and crafts.

Survivors include her husband James York; sons, Jonathan W. Smith, Carson Andrew Smith and Oma; stepsons, Michael York, James Bryan York and wife Nancy, Carl Anthony York and wife Sandra; stepdaughter, Melanie Hartsfield; grandsons, Cayden Smith, Seth York, Scott Hartsfield; granddaughters, Makenzie Smith, Ann York, Jade Hartsfield, Lauren York, Abigail York and Hillary Fontenot; sisters, Janic Truett andRose Mary Moore; sister-in-law, Carolyn Goodwin; and a number of relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Rufus Goodwin and Edna Lorraine Hodges; her first husband, Frank Smith; son, Billy Frank Smith; daughter-in-law, Lori E. Smith; and her brother, John Ralph Goodwin.
