Freda Lynn (Cook) Lee

Services for Freda Lynn (Cook) Lee, 57, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bob Harbuck officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester, Texas.

Freda was born March 16, 1956 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Ruby Pearl (Powell) and Earl Dorvin Cook. She passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 in a local nursing facility.

Freda graduated from Diboll High School in 1971. She married Danny Lee in 1972. She began working at K-Mart in 1983 and continued working until she was unable to due to her health. She enjoyed going to church and helping in church activities. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling. She loved her family very much.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Lee of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Tonia and Royce Adkison of Diboll and Melissa and Jeremiah Poling of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Edward Lee II and Stefanie of Lufkin; grandchildren, Michael and Jeremy Lowe, Royce “Tres” Adkison, and Hailey and Piper Poling; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Gerald Bentley of Bald Hill; brothers, Michael Cook, John Randal Cook, James Cook, Kenny Cook and Stuart Cook; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be J. W. Smith and her brothers, Michael Cook, John Randal Cook, James Cook, Kenny Cook and Stuart Cook.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
