Mr. Hamilton was born October 16, 1923 in New Salem; and passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rusk. Mr Hamilton served in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon his return from the service, he and Flossie May Delaney were married on March 16, 1946.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Flossie of Rusk; brother, Howard of Woodville; sons, Royce of Rusk, George of Lufkin and Robert of Lufkin; daughter Janice of Rusk; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
