

Mr. White was a retired salesman. He enjoyed woodworking, and growing vegetables and flowers. He never complained and was cheerful when things were not so cheerful. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. White was a member of Lufkin Church of Christ, Wallace Street.
Survivors include his nieces, Laurann Griffen of Beaumont, Loretta Worthy and husband James of Chandler, Oklahoma, and Virginia Cox and husband Jim of Trinity; nephew, John White and wife Gale of Nacogdoches; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Kelly White.
Mr. White's family wishes to extend special thanks to the staffs of Lexington Place and LifeCare Hospice.
In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Hannah Eudora White; brothers, Lorette and John E. White; and sister, Ruby Pauline Bennison.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Wolfe, Scott Wolfe, Rudy Smith, Michael Martin, Ridge Martin, and Fisher Martin.
Services for Mr. White will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Oren Caldwell and Bro. Robert Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Knight Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
