Mr. Berry was born February 16, 1940 in Lufkin, the son of the late Crystal (Jones) and Alvie Berry. He passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 in a local hospice facility.
He loved to kid around and pick on people. He was always smiling and never met a stranger. He had enjoyed fishing and trot line fishing earlier in his life. He had worked for 32 years in the wood yard at Southland Paper Mill.
Mr. Berry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cindy Berry of Texarkana, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and JR Hardin of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Dustin Smith of Lufkin; seven grandchildren, Bradley and Sarah Berry, Kala Berry, Brian Hardin, Ashley Reynolds, Ariel Hardin, Lauren Smith and Lindsey Smith; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Berry of Ratcliff; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Alice Berry; three nieces; and close cousin, Shirley Olson.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Berry.
