Howard Yount, 69, of Lufkin was born February 4, 1955 in Lufkin, Texas, son of the late Pauline (Brookshire) and William Howard Yount. He passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, in his residence.

Howard was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his garden and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Goodman and John of Lufkin; son, James David Yount of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brentlee Goodman, Blakelen Goodman, Brylee Goodman; brothers, Jeff Yount and Tina of Lufkin, William Yount of Lufkin; sister, Kathy Allen of Diboll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
