

Mrs. Sanford was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to hunt and fish and to be outdoors. She enjoyed her annual garden and family get-togethers. Her favorite pastime was watching western movies on television and she looked forward to the Homecoming at Wheeler Cemetery. She was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanford was one of the sweetest people to ever live.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Loree and Billy Ray Olson of Corrigan and Louise and Bernie Modisette of Lufkin; grandchildren, Greag and Rhonda Modisette of Pollok and Mack Modisette of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Bryan and Kylie Modisette of Huntington and Paige Modisette of Pollok; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Barbara Nash of Lufkin and T. F. and Gladyes Nash of Camden; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woodrow Wilson Sanford in 1971; 3 brothers, Arthur, J. V. and Ross Nash; 4 sisters, Vada Mae Rash, Dollie Henry, Edna Smith and Johnnie Mitchell.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greagory Modisette, Mack Modisette, Bryan Modisette, Kevin Havard, Larry Nash and Jesse Nash.
Services for Mrs. Sanford will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Lankford officiating. Interment will follow in Wheeler Cemetery in Wakefield, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
