

Services for Julianne Jeter, 78, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church Sanctuary with Reverend D. Nick Sholars officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the East Memorial Gardens in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Mrs. Jeter was born August 27, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She passed away May 16, 2014 at her residence.
She was married to Charles T. Jeter for 57 years and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Lufkin. She graduated from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked at Woodland Heights General Hospital as the Operating Room Supervisor from 1970 to 1974. From 1974 to 1998, she was the Nursing Counselor for Angelina College. Her hobbies included cooking, reading books and sewing matching children’s and dolls clothes for children in Mexico as mission work through her church.
Mrs. Jeter is survived by her husband, Charles T. Jeter of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Beva and Ric Masters of Lufkin; daughter, Lisa Jeter of Hickory Creek, Texas; and sister-in-law, Vesta Lou Dossey of Ashdown, Arkansas.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Woodland Heights Medical Center, Memorial Specialty Hospital, Hospice in the Pines, Davita and Dr. Kyle Krohn.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
