June Moffett

Graveside services for June Moffett, 86, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Gann Cemetery in Lufkin. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home in Lufkin.

June was born on August 3, 1932 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Bennie Ray and Lucille (Goodson) Lloyd. She passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in a local hospital. June graduated from Lufkin High School and has been a Lufkin resident all of her life. She retired from Land-O-Pines. June helped serve her community by sharing the knowledge she honed in her genealogy research. Her passionate and timeless efforts are reflected in the genealogy section of Kurth Memorial Library. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Moffett is survived by her daughter, Karla Moffett, of Lufkin; grandson, Kristopher Moffett of Nacogdoches; grandson, Lloyd Moffett and wife Jazel of Lewisville; great-grandson, Lucius Moffett; sister-in-law, Mrs. May Boutwell of Mobile, Alabama; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Eugene Moffett; and daughter, Barbara Kathleen Moffett.
