L. G. Teer

Services for L. G. Teer, 86, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Rick Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Teer was born July 21, 1928 and passed away January 17, 2014. He was the son of the late Mary Vina (Sanford) and Dee Daniel Teer.

Mr. Teer was born in Polk County on a farm on the Alabama Creek. He attended school in Corrigan and married Juanita Goins on December 22, 1950. They lived in Diboll for some time. In 1960, they moved to Lufkin. He started working for Lufkin Industries in 1955 until he retired in 1986. He and Juanita loved going to Branson, and he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved his family, especially the babies.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Linda Teer and Jerry and Brenda Teer, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Chad and Amanda Teer of Nacogdoches, Lesa Teer of College Station, Jennifer and Matt Babisak of Dallas, Stephanie and Bobby Bradley of White Oak, Michael and Khristina Teer of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Madi and Esie Babisak, Christian Teer, Adam Dean, Blaine Bradley and Travis Teer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernie and Annette Teer and Wilber and Margie Teer, all of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Louise Goins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Goins Teer in 2008.

Pallbearers will be Chad Teer, Michael Teer, Matt Babisak, Bobby Bradley, Chance Muehlstein and Joe Davis, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
