With heavy hearts yet deep gratitude, we remember and honor the life of Larry Neal Tutt, 58, of Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on Feb 13, 2025. He lived a life full of love, hard work, and quiet joy, always finding the good in every day and the best in every person. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing that Larry is now at peace in heaven, smiling down on us with the same warmth and love he shared throughout his life.
Born on December 10, 1966 in Port Arthur, Texas, Larry was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or share a warm smile. Through his dedication to his career and his passion for working on any vehicle he could get his hands on, Larry was never one to sit still. Whether he was under the hood of a car, lending a hand to a friend, or tackling a project just because it needed to be done, he found joy in hard work and purpose in helping others. If something was broken, he fixed it—whether it was an engine, a home project, or simply someone’s bad day. His generous spirit and willingness to help, no matter the time or place, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He led by example, showing that hard work and a positive spirit could make any challenge feel lighter. No matter what life brought, Larry faced it with grace and unwavering strength.
Above all, Larry was devoted to his family—a loving husband, devoted parent, cherished sibling, and dear friend. He created a home filled with warmth and laughter, where love was always abundant. He left behind his wife, Tammy, his children, Larry Tutt Jr., and wife Savanna Tutt, Rachel Tutt, Kendall Locke and husband Mason Locke, his grandchildren, Sean Tutt, Jason Jones, Adam Tutt, Kyle Allen, Kyla-Rae and Brixton Locke who will carry forward the lessons of life, resilience, and kindness that he shared so freely. He is preceded in death by his Fathers Glen Tutt and Larry Tarkington and his Mother Glenda Ray Tutt.
A service to honor Larry’s life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Gipson’s Funeral Home in Lufkin, TX. Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Though words cannot fully capture the depth of our loss, we find peace in knowing that Larry is now in God’s embrace, watching over us with love. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
