Services for Leah Ann Hanscom, 65, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Huntington. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery in Huntington.
Leah was born February 22, 1956 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Molly (Burns) and Herman Vardeman. She passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 in a local hospital.
Leah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She was a very giving and loving person, was very selfless, and a friend to all. Leah loved gardening, being at the ocean, and rock ‘n roll.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Hanscom of Diboll; daughter, Bonnie Hanscom Meaux and husband Patrick of Lufkin; grandchildren, Angelica, Isabella, Patrick, Elijah, Poppy, Paisley, Ryker and Adelynn; sisters, Linda Roberts and Laura McClary, both of Huntington; and numerous nieces, family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Leah was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Hanscom.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
